examples: n=1, 2, 3 etc
-The larger the energy level, the more energy the specific electron has
-When the energy in an electron decreases to a specific level, the electron will "leap" to that energy level

-To different energy levels (not going in betweeen)
-Electrons exsist in whole number wavelengths
